summer 2011:  

you probably won't believe it, but the doctors gave us the go-ahead to go to Switzerland during the summer 2011.  And we did.  Peter's family lives there and we go every year for a family meeting.  Madelyn and Sophia LOVE visiting their cousins in Switzerland...

Getting ready to go to the Zurich Kinderspital (Children's Hospital) for accessing and blood counts.  You can see her numbing cream on her port as she dances in front of the trams in downtown Zurich.

We went to the hospital this day and then left for a vacation home we stayed at for a week... thus all the baggage with us :)

After we received her counts back and she was still doing good, we jumped on the train to the french part of Switzerland for some quiet relaxing time in the mountains.

Madelyn is my tom-boy and dare devil.  Nope not scared one bit.  She was squealing in delight.   Can you believe this strong girl has cancer?  Is taking chemo every single day?
